Bouchard Père & Fils : Chapelle-Chambertin Grand cru 2017

Sourced from Pierre Damoy's holdings and picked towards the end of the harvest, this is a correspondingly ripe, rich, concentrated grand cru with masses of colour and power, layers of red and black fruits, sinewy tannins and a sweet, palate-caressing finish.

The oak on this bottle is less integrated than we remembered from last year, but the body is excellent and the tannic backbone is typical of this plot. A touch of dryness in the tannins.
