The Purity and Tension of a White Burgundy Wine
The Estate
Established in 2003 following the division of the family estate, Domaine Bruno Colin is located in the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet, in Burgundy. Led by Bruno Colin, this 8.75-hectare property spans several prestigious appellations of the Côte de Beaune. Renowned for his exacting vision, the winemaker crafts wines praised by critics for their purity, tension, and minerality. The estate also stands out for its commitment to environmentally responsible viticulture, treating its regional appellations with the same care as its premiers crus.
The Vineyard
This Burgundy wine comes from a small 0.80-hectare plot located in the commune of Chassagne-Montrachet. Grown on clay-limestone soils typical of the region, the vines were planted in several successive phases (1981, 2000, 2023, and 2025). The vineyard is farmed organically, with mechanical soil cultivation. The grapes are harvested by hand, with a rigorous sorting process carried out directly in the vineyard to ensure optimal sanitary quality of the fruit.
Winemaking and Ageing
Vinification is carried out with minimal intervention. The 2024 Bourgogne Chardonnay is aged for twelve months in 350-litre oak barrels, including 15 to 20% new oak. The wine is then refined in tank for four to six months before bottling, preserving all the freshness and identity of the terroir.
Grape Variety
100% Chardonnay.
