Castellare di Castellina : Poggio ai Merli 2007

This ruby-red purplish very deep red coloured Poggio Ai Merli is rich and generous. This Toscan wine offers small ripe fruits, stone fruits, wild blackberries, Morello cherry and plum. The whole is animated by grilled notes of cocoa powder, vanilla and milled espresso beans. The tannins are dense, and admirably completed by a good acid grip. The finish of this Poggio Ai Merli of Castellare di Castellina is soft, the last component of a harmonious and balanced wine.
