Chanson : Pernand-Vergelesses 1er cru "Les Vergelesses" Domaine 2022

Cask sample. Mid purplish crimson. Very ripe dark-red fruit, both fresh and dried cherries. Thick tannins and pretty rustic, with a lot of fruit intensity and marked acidity on the finish. Hard to know how well this will age. Second bottle was slightly better – more harmonious. But still rather chunky and rustic. (JH)
