Description
An exceptional gift set showcasing three great vintages of Château Angélus
The estate
Founded in 1782, Château Angélus is an iconic Bordeaux estate located in Saint-Émilion. Spanning 32 hectares, it has been run by the de Boüard family for 8 generations. The vineyard, planted mainly with Cabernet Franc and Merlot, benefits from a unique clay-limestone terroir on the southern slope of Saint-Émilion. The name “Angélus” comes from the bells of the nearby churches, symbolizing the estate’s heritage and identity.
The vineyard
Located on the southern slope of Saint-Émilion, at the “foot of the slope,” the Château Angélus vineyard flourishes on a clay-limestone terroir that is particularly well suited to expressing Bordeaux grape varieties. The vines are, on average, 39 years old.
The gift set
« Vintages follow one another, yet no two are alike. That is the magic of a great terroir in constant motion, enriched by capricious weather patterns: each of these years writes the story of Angelus. »
True to this philosophy, the estate presents “Les Intemporels,” three gift sets bringing together three extremely rare bottles, now beautifully mature—witnesses to historic vintages that trace the evolution of this must-have Right Bank Bordeaux property.
This second opus, named « Les Intemporels II », brings together the 1988, 1989, and 1990 vintages. A highly refined vertical tasting to appreciate how the climate’s influence changes from one year to the next.
