2nd classified growth from the appellation Saint-Estephe, the Château Cos d’Estournel 2000 is a red wine consisting of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. Often called a « super second », this wine possesses a strong aristocratic and exotic personality thanks to a terroir that is rich in gravel.The Château Cos d’Estournel 2000 in its youth reveals splendid notes of caramelised fruit and sweet spices. However, this wine is very round. A fresh and flexible wine; it emits exceptional aromatic flavours and is very well-balanced.
