Decanter

Freshly picked flowers with bramble fruit aromatics. Tangy and lively straight away, the dark fruit has bite with clarity and juiciness but is framed by quite present tannins which add a powdery and filling element to the expression right now. Great acidity and a feeling of sophistication. Very enjoyable with liquorice, clove and dark chocolate on the finish. Give this a bit of time and it will be delicious.

Antonio Galloni

The 2022 Ferrand is a powerful, assertive wine that is not ready to show all of its cards just yet. Crushed flowers, white pepper, mint, chalk and bright red-toned fruit are nicely delineated. The 2022 offers terrific energy and drive, but it just feels a bit compact.

Anise, flowers, cherries, chocolate, and espresso notes pop in the nose with ease. Silky, soft, lush, and refined, this is a gorgeous example of elegance in the glass. With such a superb terroir, and a new team in place, this is an estate to watch as the wines are only going to get better from here! Bravo!!! Drink from 2026-2045.

Le Figaro Vin

A delicate, subtly heady nose that combines freshness with aromas of dark fruits and graphite. On the palate, the tannins grip with elegance, lending distinction and length to this wine built for ageing. The finish lingers with a delicate cocoa-bean indulgence.

The En Primeur tasting had already hinted at it: finesse is the order of the day, along with diversity and precision. The wine stands out for its linear, accomplished character. It unfolds seamlessly from the attack through to the finish, supported by the valuable presence of elegant, perfectly integrated tannins that deliver both power and promise. A juicy, fruity and persistent finish. A great success!

Dark, intense, purple color. Very aromatic nose, fruity, pure, and delicately spicy. Precise on the attack yet full and flavorful at mid-palate, this wine offers unprecedented richness and silkiness, with a superb mouthfeel. It builds upward on the finish—tasty, sapid, long, deep, and even impossible to spit out. Recently noted for an aromatic profile comparable to crus located on the plateau, this wine is progressing slowly but surely. For the first time, it contains 34% Cabernet Franc in the blend alongside 66% Merlot. Alcohol: 14.6% – pH: 3.65. Yield: 44 hl/ha.

Vertdevin

Lovely fruity nose, energetic, racy, elegant, offering creamy freshness, richness, a certain controlled power, an airy side, delicacy, a fine grain and an appealing overall completeness. It reveals notes of fresh blackcurrant, fresh pepper and, more subtly, ripe/creamy black berries, with hints of roasted small fruits, cornflower, smoke, as well as fine velvety touches, a sense of place (Mediterranean barrier) and a subtle hint of spices. The palate is fruity and balanced, offering lovely freshness, juiciness, lively energy, a touch of tang, an airy feel, depth, beautiful suppleness, as well as power and richness, yet in delicacy. A three‑dimensional aspect. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, juicy Bigarreau cherry and, more slightly, vibrant small black fruits, combined with saline/iodized hints, bergamot, raspberry, roasted small fruits, as well as discreet toasted and chocolatey nuances, warm varietal / Mediterranean barrier notes, and subtle infusion/bergamot hints in the background. The tannins are racy, precise and sappy.
