Fragrant, with spicy herbal notes, eucalyptus, cherries, cassis, blackberries; on the palate, powerful, with the finest tannins, firm, showing structure, balance, freshness and length. Once again, very successful.

A blend led by Merlot, followed by Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carménère, Petit Verdot, and Malbec. Deep ruby in colour, with a nose that leans into oak and spice. The palate is juicy and peppery, showing restraint now but with evident structure and well-made tannins. Black fruits and spice unfurl on a broad yet compact finish, promising excellent evolution. 2% Carménère, 1% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot complete the blend.

67.2% Merlot, 18.3% Cabernet Franc, 10.4% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2.3% Malbec, 1.8% Carmenère. Cask sample. Zesty nose and palate. Attractive fruit. Juicy and accessible with some substance. (JL)
