Intense dark ruby in hue, this Saint-Estèphe reveals a powerful and bold profile, characteristic of its appellation. The nose is marked by earthy tones and a touch of oak, leading to a palate that is tight and grippy, with bold tannins and a muscular structure. While the fruit presence is subdued, the wine exhibits a classic, old-school Bordeaux character, with astringent notes and a slightly unbalanced profile at this stage. The finish is earthy and peppery.

A jolt of bright, fresh red currants, topped with espresso, strawberries, and cocoa on the nose, while the medium-bodied palate is crisp and firm, with a minty, herbal note on the finish. Drink from 2027–2037. 87–89 pts
