The 2019 Marsau is a very pretty Côtes de Francs to drink now and over the next few years, while the sweet berry fruit remains vibrant. This attractive, mid-weight red is nicely done.

Medium-bodied, elegant, fresh, soft and floral, with a focus on its core of sweet red fruits, licorice and a wisp of smoke, finishing with an intriguing sensation of salty tannins and plums. This will be even better after a few years of bottle age.

Composed of 100% Merlot, the 2019 Marsau is medium to deep garnet-purple colored. It struts out of the glass with assured notes of juicy black plums, blackberry preserves, tar, and cumin seed with touches of violets and underbrush. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is elegant and lively, with lots of bright, savory sparks to the restrained black fruits, finishing on a lingering mineral note.

Saline, energetic, fresh and refined, with very good length. Excellent savory sensation on the finish.

A pure nose, like a big breath of fresh air taken during a horseback ride in the forest. Precise and chiselled on the palate, with notes of cherry and raspberry. A very successful wine.
