Vinum

A fascinating perfume, radiant fruit, very floral, peppery spice; a soft attack, round, accessible, gripping yet elegant, with crisp berry fruit, marked, fine tannins, lively acidity, and impressive length. A wine with drive, life, and charm. Brilliantly executed.

Robert Parker

Yohan Castaing

An elegant, lively wine, the 2022 Siaurac unfurls from the glass with notes of cassis, mulberries and dark berries mingled with lovely floral notes. Medium to full-bodied, round and enrobing, it's delicately fleshy and sweet, framed by velvety tannins and concluding with a long, fruity finish. More immediate than its 2021 predecessor, this will drink well young.

James Molesworth

Friendly and open in feel, with a brightness to the cherry and raspberry notes. Light red tea, tobacco and bramble hints pick up through the finish. Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. Drink now through 2029. 10,416 cases made, 200 cases imported.

Decanter

Bright and full of strawberry and red cherry nuances on the nose, smells lively. Lovely fruit purity straight away, smooth, juicy and effortlessly enjoyable. A touch lighter in style than some other 2022s, straight and focused from start to finish, ending with more highly charged spices – liquorice, clove and bitter chocolate. Clearly concentrated but not at all overwhelming, with high acidity that keeps this fresh and upfront.

James Suckling

Paprika, plums, chopped chilis and dried herbs on the nose. It’s creamy and full-bodied with ripe, polished tannins supporting the fragrant, spicy fruit. 74% merlot, 20% cabernet franc and 6% malbec. Drink from 2027.

Antonio Galloni

The 2022 Siaurac is a gorgeous, elegant Lalande-de-Pomerol. Crushed flowers, spice, new leather, pipe tobacco and spice all meld together in an effortless, pliant Lalande-de-Pomerol that hits all the right notes. Pretty floral and red berry fruit accents lift the finish. The balance here is exquisite.

Even better in the bottle than it showed in its barrel tasting, the wine is supple, creamy, lush, and loaded with ripe, sweet, fresh, and creamy plums, black cherries, and dark chocolate, with a refreshing hint of spicy mint on the backend from the Cabernet Franc and Malbec. The blend is 75% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Malbec. Drink from 2026–2037.

The 2022 Château Siaurac is juicy and forward, revealing attractive aromatics of blackberries, blueberries, leafy herbs, and damp earth. Medium-bodied, round, and supple, with well-integrated oak and good complexity, it’s going to drink well for 10-12 years.

Weinwisser

75% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, 10% Malbec. Restrained opening, delicate blueberry contours, sandalwood and lilac. On the palate, elegant and sinewy with a soft texture and sandy extract, gently grippy. Encapsulated finish with small crushed black berries, juniper and subtle graphite notes. 17/20 2027–2043 France

Lalande de Pomerol was quite challenging in the heat of this vintage, although the estates located in Néac have higher levels of clay and this has retained freshness. The fruit character is fully ripe, with edges of black cherry, kirsch, fig, incense and dried fruit. 46ha of vines.

Le Figaro Vin

A accomplished nose of black fruits, lifted by a delicate touch of oak. On the palate, it shows refined, polished fruit, leading to a succulent finish with coffee notes.

Yves Beck

Beautiful fruity and refreshing expression in Siaurac’s bouquet, with nuances of garrigue, cherries, and red berries. Slightly creamy, the wine stands out for its harmony, for this accomplished balance between vigor and character. A tight, juicy, and lively wine with a persistent finish.
