The estate

Founded in 1991, Domaine de la Garance was born of the ambition to craft great wines that would showcase the geological evolution of the superb terroirs of the South of France. The estate produces wines with a typically Mediterranean character, perfectly built for ageing. Its red wines display depth and personality while revealing fine subtlety. The white wines, crafted in an oxidative style, are highly expressive and charming.

The vineyard

Located in the Languedoc region, the 8-hectare vineyard lies on the last spur of the Cévennes, north-east of Pézenas. Here, a remarkable diversity of soils provides ideal conditions for red grape varieties such as Grenache, Syrah and Carignan, as well as white varieties like Grenache Gris, Clairette and Chardonnay. The vines, which average 55 years of age, are perfectly preserved, as Domaine de la Garance farms its vineyard organically.
