The finesse and precision of a biodynamic Grenache Blanc
The estate
Founded in 1986 by Francis Delorme and his son Christophe, the Domaine de la Mordorée spans 42 hectares in the Rhône Valley, spread across eight communes including Tavel, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and Lirac. Following Christophe’s passing in 2015, Madeleine Delorme and their daughter Ambre now run this family estate. The domaine stands out for its full biodynamic commitment since 2020 and its ornithological philosophy, with cuvées bearing evocative names inspired by the woodcock.
The vineyard
Tableau de Terroir "Les Galets" is a white Vin de France from an outstanding terroir made up of rounded pebbles that give the wine its signature minerality. The vineyard has been certified Agriculture Biologique since 2013 and Biodynamie Demeter since 2020, underscoring the estate’s environmental commitment.
Vinification and aging
The Tableau de Terroir "Les Galets" Grenache Blanc 2024 is crafted using organic methods that respect the fruit. Harvesting and sorting are carried out entirely by hand to preserve the grapes’ optimal quality. After destemming and crushing, the grapes undergo direct pressing with temperature control to preserve aromatic finesse.
Grape variety
This wine is made from 100% Grenache Blanc, a Mediterranean grape variety that thrives on the rounded-pebble terroirs of the Rhône Valley.
