The estate

Founded in the 11th century, Domaine du Château de Meursault is located in the heart of Burgundy. This historic estate oversees a 67-hectare vineyard. Since late 2012, Olivier Halley has been its owner, upholding a tradition of excellence. Fully certified organic since the 2022 vintage, the estate stands out for its sustainable practices and its magnificent Cistercian cellars, establishing itself as a recognised benchmark in the region.

The vineyard

This wine comes from one of the most renowned terroirs of Beaune, spanning around thirty hectares in total. The plot cultivated by the estate, facing due east at the foot of the slope, rests on clay-limestone soils made up of sandy earth and limestone scree. This gravelly terroir offers optimal drainage, particularly well-suited to vine growing.

Winemaking and aging

The Beaune 1er cru "Grèves" 2023 is crafted in a modern gravity-fed winery designed to preserve the integrity of the grapes. The grapes undergo meticulous sorting using state-of-the-art optical equipment before being vinified with precision.
