Description
Characteristics and tasting notes for the 2022 Bourgogne from Domaine du Château de Meursault
Tasting notes
Colour
Deeply intense, the colour reveals a profound ruby red with brilliant highlights.
Nose
The aromatic bouquet opens with expressive notes of red and black berries, such as cherry, raspberry and blackcurrant. Subtle spicy touches and a light oakiness add complexity to the whole.
Palate
Round and generous, the palate is seductive with its silky texture and delicately melted tannins. The brightness of the fruit is supported by lovely freshness, leading to a persistent and harmonious finish.
Food and wine pairing
This red wine will pair wonderfully with roasted meats, poultry in sauce, or a fine selection of matured cheeses.
Service and storage
For optimal enjoyment, it is recommended to serve this wine between 15 and 17°C. Approachable in its youth for its vibrant fruit, it also holds a fine potential for ageing over a few years.

The estate
A historic property whose origins date back to the 11th century, Domaine du Château de Meursault is a true institution in France. Acquired by the Halley family in 2012, the estate has undergone significant restoration work as well as a transition towards more environmentally friendly winegrowing practices. It is now recognised for the exceptional quality of its wines, reflecting the richness of its terroir.
The vineyard
Spanning around sixty hectares at the heart of the Côte de Beaune, the estate's vineyard benefits from a mosaic of exceptional terroirs. The vines dedicated to this Bourgogne cuvée grow on clay-limestone soils, offering ideal conditions for the region's noble grape variety to thrive.
Grape variety
Pinot Noir (100%).
