Cigar box, juniper and sweet tobacco leaf notes chime in through the salty, dense finish, which shows solid grip. A wine first made in 2018, the 2022 Côte-Rôtie Côte Bodin launches with Brettanomyces-inflicted leather and barnyard traits, complemented by black cherry, vanilla and cedar touches. Medium-bodied and rustic, the 2022 checks out with an astringent finish.
