An elegant and generous Pouilly-Fuissé from the heart of Burgundy

The estate

Officially founded in 1797, Maison Louis Latour is a true family institution located in Aloxe-Corton, at the heart of Burgundy. This historic estate, which owns the largest area of Grands Crus in the Côte d'Or, is also distinguished by its own integrated cooperage. Today, the estate is led by Florent Latour, who continues to uphold the independence and excellence of this iconic name around the world. Combining centuries-old traditions with environmentally responsible practices, the house produces wines that reflect the full richness of Burgundy's terroirs.

The vineyard

The grapes that make up this Pouilly-Fuissé come from vines with an average age of thirty years. They thrive on clay-limestone soils typical of the appellation, located in the Mâconnais region. To ensure optimal quality, yields are kept under control at around 45 hectoliters per hectare, and harvesting is carried out entirely by hand.

The vintage

The year 2024 proved particularly challenging in terms of weather. The growing cycle was marked by late frosts, violent hailstorms, and then heavy rainfall in September. Although these conditions significantly reduced overall harvest volumes, this area was relatively spared compared to the rest of the region, allowing for grapes of fine quality.

Winemaking and aging

This Pouilly-Fuissé Village 2024 is crafted through traditional fermentation in stainless steel vats under strictly controlled temperatures. The wine then undergoes 100% malolactic fermentation. Finally, it is aged in the same stainless steel vats for a period of eight to ten months, preserving all the freshness and aromatic purity of the fruit.
