Staggeringly youthful for a wine from such a hot and dry year. But that’s what makes the Saar so special. Wonderful combination of ripeness and delicacy, with peaches and spring blossoms on the nose. What makes the barely medium-bodied palate so remarkable is the way the succulence flips to mouthwatering freshness in the stunningly vibrant finish. Only 9.5% alcohol. Drink or hold.
