The aromatic bouquet opens with expressive notes of black berries, blackcurrant, liquorice and violet, enhanced by a touch of bay leaf. With aeration, nuances of plum, dried herbs, chocolate and light smoky touches enrich this beautiful complexity.

Palate
Rich and powerful, the attack offers a full body, carried by a refreshing acidity. The palate unfolds savoury notes of blackberry, black cherry and dark chocolate, supported by wonderfully fine tannins that blend harmoniously with the fruit, leading to an elegant and structured finish.

The estate

Founded in 1999 by Michael Twelftree and Richard Mintz, the Two Hands estate is located in Marananga, at the heart of the renowned Barossa Valley appellation. The vineyard

The grapes come from old bush-vine Shiraz, whose ancient, gnarled vines are emblematic of the region. The vineyard is managed according to sustainable principles, thereby promoting biodiversity and ecosystem health.

Winemaking and aging

Each plot destined for this wine is vinified separately with regular pump-overs for gentle extraction. Aging takes place in French oak barrels, allowing the tannic structure to refine before the final blend.
