A dry, succulent version, with a hint of plumpness to the notes of lemon, white blossoms and chamomile, all underlined by a salty mineral vein. Grapefruit pith acidity courses through but stops short of piercing, which makes this very drinkable. Drink now through 2030. 6,213 cases made, 200 cases imported.

The 2023 Riesling trocken was harvested in the villages of Westhofen, Gundersheim and Hangen-Weisheim, from cooler sites of limestone and calcareous marl. Chervil, flint and lemon immediately show nerve and verve, fragrant and fresh. This is slender, bright, absolutely pure and sprightly, with vivid lemon brightness and zesty, bone-dry length.
