Xavier Vignon : Vacqueyras 2022

A robust, well-balanced and focused Vacqueyras. Notes of dark cherries, baked plums, sweet spices and some tapenade on the nose. It’s full-bodied with fine, firm tannins. Structured and dense, with a persistent finish. From organically grown grapes. Try from 2025.

Coming in at 15% alcohol, the 2022 Vacqueyras is a fleshy powerhouse. Peppery subtleties mingle with jammy red and black fruit nuances of moderate intensity. The palate is full-bodied and swathed in smooth tannins.

Ripe blackberries, peppery herbs, violets, and incense notes all emerge from the 2022 Vacqueyras, a medium- to full-bodied, concentrated, balanced wine from Xavier that has plenty of mid-palate depth as well as ripe tannins. It's clearly an outstanding wine that will evolve for 8–10 years.
