Light- to medium-bodied, this has more stuffing and concentration than some 2021s, but is still relatively lean. Good acidity, low alcohol and a savoury finish. From an east-facing hillside of mica schist in lieu-dit Bonnivières. Partial destemming, indigenous yeasts, no insecticides or pesticides.

The strait-laced 2021 Côte-Rôtie Lieu-Dit Bonnivières reveals delicate blackberry, crushed rocks and herbaceous nuances. Light- to medium-bodied and balanced yet lacking in concentration, the rather delicate 2021 is made in an easy-drinking style.

The 2021 Côte Rôtie Lieu-Dit Bonnivières is very much in the spicy, complex style of this estate. Black raspberries, cedary herbs, incense, flowers, and pepper all shine here, and it's medium-bodied, with an elegant, layered, silky mouthfeel, fine tannins, and outstanding length. This complex, satisfying, elegant Côte Rôtie will drink nicely for a decade.
