Description
Characteristics and Tasting Tips for Thiénot Brut
Tasting Notes
Colour
The wine reveals an elegant pale yellow hue with golden highlights, enhanced by lively effervescence and an exceptionally fine mousse.
Nose
The bouquet is complex and generous, releasing aromas of orchard fruits such as apple and peach, intertwined with notes of tropical fruit. Subtle floral touches and indulgent hints of biscuit and brioche complete this harmonious ensemble.
Palate
The attack is round and fresh, offering a creamy texture and a vibrant structure. The palate unfolds bright, fruity flavours that stretch into a long, clean and delicately smooth finish.
Food and Wine Pairing
Ideal as an aperitif, this sparkling white wine pairs beautifully with seafood such as oysters, shellfish or fish tartare. It is also an excellent match for cold starters such as carpaccio, light white meats and soft-rind cheeses.
Serving and Cellaring
Thanks to its balanced structure, this non-vintage Brut has good ageing potential and will develop favourably in the cellar for several years.
The Elegance and Modernity of a Champagne Signed Thiénot
The Estate
Founded in 1985 by Alain Thiénot, a former grape broker, the house of Thiénot stands out for its modern vision and independence. Based in Reims and Taissy, France, this family-owned estate cultivates a vineyard of around 30 hectares. Today, it is run by the new generation, Garance, Stanislas and Théodora Thiénot, through the Arvitis group. Internationally renowned, notably at the Oscars ceremonies, the brand embodies the excellence of contemporary Champagne, combining creativity, quality and respect for terroir.
The Vineyard
The estate extends over nearly 30 hectares in the heart of Champagne, a large part of which is classified Grand Cru and Premier Cru, on prestigious terroirs such as Aÿ, Le Mesnil and Avize. The vines are cultivated with careful attention to sustainability and respect for nature. Supply is completed through long-standing, loyal partnerships with local growers.
The Blend
This cuvée is the result of a meticulous blend combining a main harvest base with a significant proportion of reserve wines, representing 35 to 45% of the total volume. These reserve wines, drawn from several consecutive vintages, ensure the consistency and complexity of the house style.
Vinification and Maturation
This Brut is produced exclusively in stainless steel tanks to preserve the full purity and freshness of the aromas. Complete malolactic fermentation is carried out to add roundness. The wine then benefits from extended ageing on the lees for four to five years in the cellars of Reims before disgorgement.
Grape Varieties
The blend consists of Pinot Noir (35 to 45%), Chardonnay (35 to 45%) and Pinot Meunier (20 to 30%).
