Château Bouscassé 2019

No fewer than 45ha are dedicated to the red wine of Château Bouscassé. The many terroirs present create complexity, with yellow and white clays resting on fractured limestone. Ageing takes place for one year in barrels (approx. 20% new), then 24 months in 80hl foudres. The bouquet reveals many nuances through spicy, fruity and subtly oaky notes, with aromas of blueberries and blackberries. The wine has density and muscle. It owes the latter to its acidic structure which may work behind the scenes, but its impact is significant not only on freshness, but also on ageing potential, alongside the tannins. A creamy, fleshy and vibrant wine.
