Château La Tour Carnet 2024

Heady aromatics, really floral and expressive. Succulent and sapid, this has bright acidity that really lifts the expression. The red fruit is a little high-toned but it actually works with the fine tannins, giving this a tang and fruit-forwardness that others don't have. I like it. Easy to enjoy with a joyous quality. 1% Cabernet Franc completes the blend.

63% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc. Cask sample. Red-fruit aromas. Broad across the palate with a point of acidity. Structured and firm, the tannins well honed. Lacking in charm but well made. (JL)
