Château Palmer 2000

2000 Margaux, 3e Cru Classe, Bordeaux.

The Chateau Palmer vineyard stretches over 66 hectares on the town of Cantenac on the Margaux appellation. After a year of contrasted climatic conditions, this 2000 Chateau Palmer is 53% Cabernet Sauvignon and 47% Merlot. 
The wine displays a purple-tinted rich and dense ruby colour. The strong, rough and complex nose gives off graphite, black pepper, and plum and eucalyptus notes. The 2000 Chateau Palmer offers a full-bodied palate on the attack and then develops on very distinguished, well-blended tannins in a fruity and lush aspect. The whole is underlined by a perfect freshness. The finish is particularly delicious and persistent.
