Château Peyrabon 2013

Owned by the Bernard family, which also owns wine merchant Millésima and Domaine de Chevalier, Peyrabon has produced a well-structured wine from ripe grapes. It is firm at the moment, although the rich berry fruits and acidity give good promise for aging. Drink from 2019.

Good clear fruit, nicely balanced wine.

Fresh nose of red currants, plum and green herbs, a tiny bit of oak. Medium-bodied with a youthful texture, rather softened tannins, high acidity and a medium to long finish.

Slim, light bouquet of red cherries, wood, white pepper. Thin palate with delicate fruit, little tannin, light finish. 15/20 2017 - 2024

Highly expressive nose with ripe red fruits, smoke, birthwort and iris; the palate is just as aromatic, with fine flesh, firm tannins and lively freshness on the finish. Not very powerful but well crafted.

Fruity, pleasant, flavorful and light wine.
