Wine Spectator

James Molesworth

Mulled plum, loganberry and blackberry fruit is melded together in this red, studded with anise, briar and singed mesquite notes. A light tarry backdrop frames the long finish. Best from 2015 through 2030. 15 cases imported.

Vinous

Josh Raynolds

Vivid purple. Sexy, high-pitched red fruit aromas are complicated by notes of Szechuan peppercorn, potpourri and smoky minerals. Powerful yet elegant, offering palate-staining black raspberry, cola and violet pastille flavors with a strong mineral core. Finishes with superb clarity, spice and length, leaving a smoky mineral note behind. Here the liveliness of the vintage is enhanced by surprising depth and power, suggesting the wine will be a strong cellar candidate.

Bettane+Desseauve

A touch of reduction on the nose, very noble substance, great velvety texture, just a little less rich than in 2010.
