Vinum

Expressive, still slightly marked by oak, yet with a wonderful Sauvignon perfume combining floral and spicy notes; a powerful, full-bodied palate, a sweet core of fruit, top acidity, a creamy texture and excellent length. More opulent than last year, perfect as a food partner.

Decanter

White peach and jasmine aromas, floral and fragrant with some pear drop notes. Smells really clean and fragrant. An initial burst of fruit with lively acidity before settling into a cool freshness with a soft mineral finish. Some creamy lemon and lime, mouthwatering acidity and a really slick, clean long finish. I like this a lot. Feels hands-off, so mineral and pure, not hugely layered but more focused and straight - delicate and nuanced, less demonstrative than it can be. First vintage with 5% Sauvignon Gris. 3.20pH. Bottled end of March 2026. 11ha in total for white grape plantings.

A tight and solid wine with phenolic tension and bright acidity. Medium body, with sliced green apples and pears, with hints of honeysuckle, as well as mineral and sea salt undertones. Crunchy finish. A blend of 60% sauvignon blanc, 24% semillon, 11% muscadelle and 5% sauvignon gris. Drink now.

The 2025 Blanc de Lynch-Bages is terrific. This is the first year with some Sauvignon Gris. The 2025 offers a beguiling mix of textural richness and aromatic intensity. Pear, green apple and jasmine open first, followed by light tropical overtones that lend an exotic flair. This was just bottled but is drinking very well today.

Pineapples, white peach, flowers, thyme, and lemon peel aromas fill the aromatic profile. Fresh, and juicy, your palate enjoys its blast of Granny smith apples, pineapples, grapefruit, and lemon curd, all topped with white peaches. The wine is produced from blending 60% Sauvignon Blanc, 24% Semillon, 11% Muscadelle, and 5% Sauvignon Gris. This marks the first vintage with Sauvignon Gris in the blend. 13.4% ABV. Drink from 2027-2035. 94-94 Pts

Checking in as a blend of 60% Sauvignon Blanc, 24% Sémillon, 11% Muscadelle, and 5% Sauvignon Gris, the 2025 Château Lynch-Bages Blanc is a vibrant, racy white with a perfumed nose of citrus, honeyed tropical flowers, mint, and chalky minerality. Medium-bodied on the palate, it's fresh, focused, and balanced, with bright acidity and a clean, crisp finish. Already bottled, it should have 10-15 years of longevity. Drink 2026-2041.

Salted crackers, preserved lemons, patisserie notes, love the white peach and pear flesh, this is an exceptional Blanc de Lynch Bages in a vintage that had challenges for the whites after a hot dry summer. 25hl/ha yield. 3.20 pH. Harvest August 26 to September 4. 50% new oak, already bottled.

The bouquet of the blanc de Lynch Bages is open and harmonious, with notes of white-fleshed fruit (apples, pears) along with a touch of nectarine and flint. The creamy, tangy attack gives way to a velvety, expressive wine. It is driven by a structuring acidity and is also supported by fine bitter notes that add a hint of freshness and length on the finish. A mouthwatering, savory wine to enjoy both young and with a bit of age.

The elegance of a great Bordeaux Blancs Secs wine by Château Lynch-Bages

The estate
The history of Château Lynch-Bages took a decisive turn upon its official creation in 1750, when Thomas Lynch acquired the estate. Located in the renowned region of Bordeaux, in the Pauillac appellation, this iconic property spans a vast vineyard mainly dedicated to red wines, complemented by a parcel reserved for whites. Today, Jean-Charles Cazes leads the estate, perpetuating the excellence of this globally recognized name. The Cazes family has elevated this growth to the rank of the finest, combining respect for tradition with technical innovation.

The vineyard
The terroir dedicated to the production of this wine covers an area of 11 hectares. The vines thrive on soils composed of Garonne gravels, an exceptional geological environment that ensures optimal drainage, ideal for producing great Bordeaux Blancs Secs.

The vintage
The year stands out for an early vintage, marked by a both consistent and highly promising growing cycle. Favorable weather conditions, with radiant skies during the harvest, helped maintain excellent overall vine health, suggesting moderate yields of outstanding quality.

Winemaking and aging
Following manual harvesting from August 26 to September 4, along with rigorous selective sorting in the vineyard and on the sorting table, the wine undergoes six months of aging on lees. This stage takes place in barrels, 50% of which are new oak, adding complexity without masking the purity of the aromas. Alcohol content: 13.4% vol.

Grape varieties
The blend of this Blanc de Lynch-Bages 2025 consists of 60% sauvignon blanc, 24% sémillon, 11% muscadelle, and 5% sauvignon gris.
