The elegant 2006 Beaune 1er cru Clos de La Mousse from Maison Bouchard Père & Fils shows a beautiful violet-tinted garnet colour. The expressive yet delicate peony and woodland notes, doubled with touches of fur and mocha provide for an interestingly complex nose. To the palate, this Beaune 1er Cru is savoury, delicate and silky: a gorgeous bottle with great cellar potential.
