Strawberry purée with lemon bush and overt viennoiserie. Medium body with savory flavors and super-zesty acidity, fine long bubbles and a structured yet precise finish. Chardonnay and pinot noir. Drink or hold.

The 2014 Brut Millésimé D is a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with just under half of the base wines undergoing malolactic fermentation. The nose is subtle, offering a touch of red and yellow apple and chalk. The palate is fresh and vivid, presenting a lovely apple and lemon verve against deep chalkiness. This wine has such energy and elan, with the Pinot Noir playing second fiddle to Chardonnay brightness while adding a backdrop. Lovely. Dosage is 7.4 grams per liter.
