The elegance and expression of an exceptional vintage Champagne

The estate

Founded in 1808, the Henriot Champagne House has established itself as a reference in the world of Champagne. Located in the heart of the region, it has combined heritage and modernity, shaping a unique history over generations in which each era has enriched an exceptional legacy.

The vineyard

The Henriot House plots are spread across the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs. On these emblematic Champagne terroirs, the alchemy between climate, soils and know-how gives rise to grapes of excellence, the true pillars of each cuvée's identity.

The wine

Carried by eight generations, the House preserves a rare heritage of precious bottles, witnesses to its know-how. Since the first vintage of 1921, the "Mémoires" collection has grown, with each bottle resting in the silence and coolness of the cellars, a symbol of a constant standard of quality and elegance.
After several decades of rest in the cellar, Alice Tétienne, Cellar Master, chose the 1969 vintage to illustrate a new stage in the history of Henriot. Each bottle is first tasted individually, then manually disgorged according to traditional know-how. After a few additional months of rest, the Champagne fully reveals itself, allowing one to appreciate the full richness of its journey.

The vintage

The year 1969 saw a cold and hail-filled spring, which complicated the vine growth and flowering. The summer, marked by severe drought, led to ripening under water stress. The late harvest in October resulted in a rare but very high-quality crop.

Grape varieties

Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
