Description
The intense freshness of an exceptional rosé champagne
The estate
Founded in 1812, the Champagne Laurent-Perrier House entered its golden age from 1948 onwards, thanks to the drive of Bernard de Nonancourt. Under the impetus of this visionary businessman, the House set itself apart by crafting cuvées that reflected its values of excellence and innovation.
From its very beginnings, the House has built its identity around chardonnay. Thanks to the freshness and finesse it brings to the blend, this grape variety defines the signature style of this Champagne benchmark.
The Laurent-Perrier House expresses its avant-garde spirit notably through Grand Siècle and its multi-vintage blends, its Ultra Brut in the "zero dosage" style, and Cuvée Rosé, the first maceration rosé champagne in its category. These so-called "breakthrough" cuvées, each creation being an event in itself, mark with their originality a new chapter in the history of the Laurent-Perrier House and its pursuit of excellence, which has earned it international renown.
The values so dear to Bernard de Nonancourt find their quintessence in the Laurent-Perrier cuvées, unanimously acclaimed by connoisseurs.
The vineyard
Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé is made exclusively from pinot noir sourced from the finest Crus of the Montagne de Reims, an emblematic terroir of Champagne.
The wine
A symbol of the boldness of a family-spirited champagne House run with passion, and a pioneer of the maceration rosé champagne category, the prestigious Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé was born at the dawn of the 1968 vintage. Since then, this Rosé champagne has established itself as a benchmark among the greatest rosés produced in Champagne.
Vinification and ageing
This bottle is the result of a highly technical production method: maceration. Once harvested, the grapes are destemmed and placed in a maceration vat. In this vat, the juice macerates with the grape skins for between 48 and 72 hours in order to draw out the aromatic expression of the finest pinot noir crus. The juice is then drawn off (separated from the skins), fermented and vinified in a separate vat. Cuvée Rosé benefits from 5 years of ageing in the cellars.
Grape variety
Pinot noir (100%).
