Michel Reybier’s NV Brut Premier Cru is gorgeous. Open-knit and resonant, with striking palate presence and depth, the Premier Cru is super-expressive. Hints of vanillin, brioche, spice and mint add nuance to a core of orchard fruit. Rich and beautifully textured, yet also light on its feet, the Premier Cru is a joy to taste and drink today. Produced for the owner of Château Cos d'Estournel in Bordeaux, this wine was wood-aged before undergoing its second fermentation. That gives it a rich, creamy character, attractively oxidative while also having fresh apple and citrus flavors. It's an intense, complex wine that has been bottled ready to drink, marking a very fine launch.
