Description
Characteristics and tasting notes of the Brut Rosé by Thiénot
Tasting
Appearance
Delicate and pale pink, it reveals subtle salmon nuances.
Nose
The bouquet opens with indulgent aromas of fresh red fruits such as raspberry, cherry and blackcurrant, beautifully enhanced by floral notes reminiscent of violet.
Palate
Both generous and remarkably fresh, it offers lively effervescence and a creamy texture. The balance is perfect between a lovely tangy tension and the flavours of light red berries.
Food and wine pairings
Ideal from the aperitif with fine tapas, this wine pairs wonderfully with cherry tomatoes or stuffed artichokes. It also matches perfectly with white meats such as chicken with chorizo, as well as with seafood dishes. At the end of the meal, it enhances light desserts, especially a strawberry or fresh fruit salad.
Serving and cellaring
To fully appreciate the finesse of this Brut Rosé, it is recommended to serve it chilled, at an ideal temperature between 7 and 9°C.
The fruity elegance of a great Champagne Thiénot
The estate
Founded in 1985 by Alain Thiénot, the independent family House Champagne Thiénot quickly established itself as a leading contemporary brand. Now led by his children, Garance and Stanislas Thiénot, the estate draws on a vineyard of around thirty hectares. Spread across prestigious terroirs, the domain combines a technical site in Taissy with a historic headquarters in the heart of Reims. Building on lasting relationships with its partner growers, this estate blends modernity, a demanding pursuit of quality and respect for Champagne's heritage.
The vineyard
The vineyard from which this cuvée originates stretches across the great terroirs of Champagne. Sourcing relies on a high proportion of prestigious plots, with 25% of grapes coming from Grands Crus and 36% from Premiers Crus. This geographical diversity ensures raw material of exceptional quality for crafting the cuvées.
The blend
This cuvée is crafted from the base harvest of the 2021 vintage. To ensure the continuity and complexity of the House style, this blend also incorporates reserve wines from the 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 vintages.
Winemaking and aging
The making of this Brut Rosé begins with a fully completed malolactic fermentation. Bottling took place in June 2022, followed by extended aging of more than three years in the estate's cellars, allowing its texture and the finesse of its bubbles to be refined.
Grape varieties
50% Pinot Noir, 35% Meunier, 15% Chardonnay
