Château Baret 2023

Herbaceous, red-fruited, with floral notes; taut on the palate, slightly bitter tannins, lots of character and good length, can benefit from some aging.

Bright, fresh, medium-bodied, crisp, smoky, and vibrant at its core, this will be quite nice to enjoy on release. The wine is a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink from 2026-2032. 89-91 pts.

Tomato leaf, fragrant floral character, earthy and pretty charming. Unfussy, a little short.

A magical, powerful nose, evoking blackcurrant extract, but with an intriguing hint of zest. The attack is precise, revealing a strict, mineral palate with an impression of fine tannins that are still a touch gripping. The finish is long, leaving an impression of raw power that calls to be rounded out.
