Château du Tertre : Tertre Blanc 2024

Orange blossom, apricot, gooseberry and green apple. Lifted and zingy straight away, this has a burst of energy and liveliness, creamy but also citrus focussed with an enjoyable stony minerality. Balanced and very enjoyable, this has a real personality, still with a touch of austerity that should settle. A different category in terms of white wine style - lime, lemon, bitter pineapple, crunchy and crisp with bite and tang. Great stuff. 14% Viognier completes the blend. Ageing 60% new oak barrels, 40% one year old barrels for six months. Refreshing and moreish. 3.2pH.

Pineapples, white peaches, tangerine, and assorted spices fill the aromatic profile. Fresh, energetic, even racy on the palate, the wine leaves you with zesty orange and yellow citrus, and a splash of white peaches. The blend is 33% Sauvignon Blanc, 30% Chardonnay, 23% Gros Manseng, and 14% Viognier. The wine is vinified in stainless steel and aged in French oak barrels, 60% new. Drink from 2026-2031. 91-91 pts

Bursting with energy, the nose unfolds aromas of citrus, citrus peel and tropical fruit in a distinctly varietal bouquet. The palate is more composed. It offers notes of fresh pineapple, passion fruit and grapefruit zest, but in half-tones.
