Gaining 5 points after retasting, Chateau Pape Clement 2010 is what Parker calls "perfection in a bottle." Parker effusively admits that he "certainly underestimated" the vintage when he first tasted it back in 2011. A wine of "sublime elegance" Pape Clement 2010 is 51% Merlot, 47.5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1.5% Petit Verdot. On the nose Parker found notes of "subtle notes of smoke, lead pencil shavings, black currants, charcoal, camphor, blueberry and cassis fruit. This wine deserves almost a decade of aging and will last for another 30-40 years
