Vinum

What a bouquet—complex, profound, with a subtle cool smokiness, lemon thyme, lilac, lemon, white peach, stony undertones—pure poetry. On the palate it’s linear and dense; what concentration paired with great elegance. The wine has power, builds momentum, drives through the mid-palate; the crisp fruit harmonizes with the acid structure, keeps it fresh and provides support. The finish is of great length and full of finesse. Outstanding! Together with La Mission Haut Brion, this is the best white wine of the vintage.

Decanter

Nice aromatics, white fruit, some herbal scents, wool, caramel, vanilla, white chocolate and some peach. Dynamic and alive on the palate, this has a great energy and focus straight away. Sleekly presented - this is straight and focused but with nuances of pear, green apple, creamy vanilla, lemon balm and soft honey. Mouthwatering acidity gives the zing with the texture following after. Fresh, some spice touches, fennel and mint herbs. Good energy, crystalline and pure. Built on acidity and freshness with a long lasting, finessed flavour. One of the whites of the vintage. Ageing 50% in new oak barrels. 3.2pH

Aromatically, the wine opens with pomelo, flowers, vanilla, green apples, and a hint of white peach. On the palate, the wine is bright, juicy, fresh, and fruity, with minty lemon rinds, white peach, tangerine, vanilla, and crisp green apples that you taste and feel from start to finish. The harvest took place August 29 - September 13. The wine blends 90% Sauvignon Blanc, 5% Semillon, and 5% Sauvignon Gris. 14% ABV, 3.15 pH. Drink from 2027-2038. 95-95 Pts

Lovely elegant nose: fresh, vibrant, precise, straightforward, with a crystalline quality and a beautiful multi-layered side. It reveals notes of quenette, fresh rose lychee, and, more subtly, ripe peach, combined with touches of crisp nectarine, fine hints of juicy pear, kumquat, as well as a hint of fresh mango and a discreet touch of verbena. A lovely sense of place (local biotope/terroir). The palate is beautifully guided, delicate, aromatic, round, subtle, chiselled, offering a spherical dimension, a lovely, precisely judged finesse of texture (iodized, delicately smoky fat) along with energy and vibrancy. Beautifully fine grain. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of quenette, crushed vine peach, radiant pear, and, more slightly, fresh mango, combined with hints of verbena, almond blossom, and a subtle touch of brioche. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of quenette, crushed vine peach, radiant pear, and, more slightly, fresh mango, combined with fine hints of vibrant fruits, almond blossom, verbena, and a subtle brioche note. Long finish. A very discreet touch of pleasant bitterness on the persistence.

A gorgeous aromatic blossom of white peaches, peach pit, sage, apple blossom, soft clove and white truffle spices, gentle lift through the palate, a wonderfully fragrant, generous but finessed Smith Haut Lafitte Blanc, with so much depth and length. 50% new oak for ageing, harvest August 29 to September 13, 3.2ph. Energy maintained through the palate, up there with one of the whites of the vintage.

Pale color. A very beautiful nose, highly aromatic, refined, pure, fruity and subtle. A lemon note, very rare in this wine. A wonderfully fragrant evolution in the glass. The palate is as airy as one could wish, with a graceful feel, a precise, melting body. It’s magical and impossible to spit out. Blend: 90% Sauvignon Blanc, 5% Sauvignon Gris, 5% Sémillon. Alcohol content: 13.2% (no chaptalization) – pH: 3.2. Yield: 31 hl/ha. Production: 16,000 bottles.
