The estate

Founded in 1991, Domaine de la Garance was born of the ambition to craft great wines that would highlight the geological evolution of the magnificent terroirs of the South of France. The estate produces wines with a typically Mediterranean character, perfectly suited to ageing. Its red wines show depth and personality while also revealing lovely finesse. Its white wines, crafted in an oxidative style, are highly expressive and charming.

The vineyard

Located in the Languedoc region, the 8-hectare vineyard lies on the last foothills of the Cévennes, north-east of Pézenas. Here, remarkably diverse soils provide ideal conditions for red grape varieties such as Grenache, Syrah and Carignan, as well as white varieties like Grenache Gris, Clairette and Chardonnay. The vines, which average 55 years of age, are perfectly preserved, as Domaine de la Garance farms its vineyard organically.

24 months in 20-hl concrete vats.

The Les Armieres 2018 cuvée from Domaine de la Garance is a blend of Carignan and Syrah.
