A Red from Collioure with a Coastal, Saline Character
The Estate
Domaine de la Rectorie, founded in 1984 by brothers Marc and Thierry Parcé in Banyuls-sur-Mer, in Roussillon, was built on a family vineyard handed down over several generations. Now run by Thierry Parcé and his son Jean-Emmanuel, the estate cultivates schist terraces overlooking the Mediterranean, between the Banyuls and Collioure appellations. Its identity rests on demanding slope viticulture, carefully controlled yields and a constant pursuit of fidelity to the terroir.
The Vineyard
The vines used for Ce Côté Mer are planted in the immediate vicinity of the sea, on schist soils, with a south/south-east orientation typical of the Collioure appellation. This coastal setting, combined with the poor, free-draining nature of the schist, encourages balanced ripening while preserving the freshness of the fruit.
Winemaking and Ageing
After destemming, the grapes destined for Côté Mer 2025 undergo a maceration of approximately twenty days, carried out with care to preserve the finesse of the fruit and the characteristic freshness of this cuvée.
Grape Varieties
The blend of Ce Côté Mer from Domaine de la Rectorie combines Syrah, Grenache and Carignan, from vines grown using sustainable farming practices.
