Appearance
The robe displays a golden hue characteristic of the great Chardonnays from the Côte de Beaune.
Nose
The nose reveals lovely aromatic complexity, with delicate floral fragrances accompanied by a few woody hints.
Palate
On the palate, this wine brilliantly combines exceptional freshness and minerality with the generosity typical of this renowned terroir. Its medium-bodied structure stands out for its excellent mineral energy, which enlivens and invigorates the palate. The balance between richness and acidity is remarkable. The long, citrusy finish is highly precise.

The estate
Founded in 1825 in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Domaine Faiveley has established itself as one of the largest landowners in Bourgogne, with more than 120 hectares of vines. Managed since 2005 by Erwan Faiveley, joined in 2014 by his sister Eve, the estate has remained in the family for seven generations. Its exceptional holdings include 12 Grands Crus, 25 Premiers Crus and six monopoles. In 2025, the year of its bicentenary, Domaine Faiveley obtains its organic certification.
The vineyard
The Charmes climat is located on the border of Puligny-Montrachet, on an exceptional terroir where Chardonnay expresses itself beautifully. The name "Charmes" comes from hornbeams, trees in the birch family that once covered this plot. The vines of Meursault benefit from soils composed of silt and stones, with a south-east exposure. The vineyards are farmed organically.
Winemaking and aging
Meursault 1er cru "Charmes" 2023 is vinified and aged in oak barrels, with one-third new oak. The grapes come from vines farmed organically.
Grape variety
100% Chardonnay.
