Decanter

Lively with a touch of sparkle and brightness—orange, grapefruit, and some pineapple with a hint of lively acidity. Good quality and enjoyable, with accents of both ripe fruit and soft spices.

The 2024 “G” de Château Guiraud, which was bottled and had much more Sauvignon Blanc than usual, offers orchard fruit aromas mixed with grass clipping scents on the light but delineated nose. The palate is fresh on the entry with fine acidity, decent weight and depth; perhaps it just needs a bit more nervosity on the finish. But this is a “capable” dry white from Guiraud.

Flowers, lemon curd, and hints of white peach fill the perfume. Racy, vibrant citrus with a touch of bitter pineapple and pomelo skins create the edgy finish. The wine blends 65% Sauvignon Blanc with 35% Semillon. Drink from 2026-2032. 91-91 Pts

Restrained aromas of passion fruit, ripe gooseberries and chamomile. Medium-bodied with fresh acidity and a zingy, fruit-expressive finish. From organically grown grapes. Drink now.

Lisa Perrotti-Brown

Le G de Guiraud 2024 (already in bottle) delivers zesty lime peel and yuzu notes, leading to hints of fresh straw and fennel seed. Light-bodied, the palate is refreshing and clean with a delicately flavored finish.

Yves Beck

Citrus notes mingle with hints of flinty minerality and stone fruits (nectarines, peaches). Carried by an elegant, slightly creamy texture, the wine follows a linear, precise path. The aromatic expression is ever-present, from the attack through to the finish, highlighting the harmony throughout. A precise, sapid wine to enjoy both young and with a bit of age!
