The 2024 “G” de Château Guiraud, which was bottled and had much more Sauvignon Blanc than usual, offers orchard fruit aromas mixed with grass clipping scents on the light but delineated nose. The palate is fresh on the entry with fine acidity, decent weight and depth; perhaps it just needs a bit more nervosity on the finish. But this is a “capable” dry white from Guiraud.

Flowers, lemon curd, and hints of white peach fill the perfume. Racy, vibrant citrus with a touch of bitter pineapple and pomelo skins create the edgy finish. The wine blends 65% Sauvignon Blanc with 35% Semillon. Drink from 2026-2032. 91-91 Pts
