Tasting
Appearance

Nose
Powerful and expressive, the aromatic bouquet opens with notes of small red berries such as raspberry, strawberry and cherry. It is enhanced by floral nuances and mineral, spicy touches evoking its terroir.
Palate
Very delicate, the palate offers a fleshy texture supported by round and subtle tannins. The moderate acidity brings a fine balance to the whole, highlighting a harmonious and silky structure.
Food and wine pairings
This wine pairs ideally with meats in sauce, such as beef fillet or veal, as well as with refined game dishes like duck breast. It also makes a wonderful accompaniment to characterful cheeses.
The expression of a great Chambolle-Musigny terroir by Maison Louis Jadot
The estate
Founded in 1859 in Beaune, Maison Louis Jadot is a true institution in Burgundy. Skilfully combining a historic négociant activity with the management of vast wine estates, it strives to reveal the diversity of the region's terroirs. Owned since 1985 by the American group Kobrand Fine Wine & Spirits, operational management remains firmly rooted locally under the leadership of the Gagey family and its current president, Thomas Seiter. Today, Louis Jadot stands out for a strong environmental transition and a commitment to producing wines that are faithful to their origins.
The vineyard
Located in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, the Chambolle-Musigny appellation is renowned for the finesse of its terroirs. The Climat classified as premier cru Les Feusselottes is part of this prestigious mosaic. The estate's vineyard management is geared towards sustainable practices, including grass cover between the rows, protection of the soils against erosion and a significant reduction of chemical inputs in order to preserve biodiversity and the authentic expression of the plot.
The vintage
The year 2020 was characterised by hot and dry weather conditions. This favourable climate encouraged high levels of ripeness in the grapes, resulting in a qualitative harvest marked by a beautiful natural richness.
Winemaking and aging
The crafting of this wine is based on a classic and minimally interventionist approach. Fermentations take place in vats with controlled extraction to preserve the delicacy of the fruit. The wine then benefits from a measured aging in oak barrels, with a moderate proportion of new wood, allowing the structure to be supported without masking the identity of the Climat.
Grape variety
Pinot Noir (100%).
