Vineyard
As early as the 12th century, Clos Vougeot, formerly owned by the Cistercian monks of Cîteaux, was dedicated to vine growing. Today, the Clos Vougeot wines represent the largest Grand Cru appellation in Bourgogne, with 52 hectares of vines and 80 different owners.
Winemaking and aging
100% malolactic fermentation in open vats. This is followed by aging in new French oak barrels for 10 to 12 months.
