A round and ample white Premier Cru from Burgundy
The estate
Founded in 1797 by Jean Latour in Beaune, the Louis Latour estate remains an independent family-owned property run by the eleventh generation. Based in Burgundy, it is the largest Grand Cru estate in the Côte d'Or, with emblematic parcels in Aloxe-Corton. Former coopers turned winegrowers, the Latour family combines modern innovation with respect for Burgundian traditions across legendary terroirs.
The vineyard
The "Genevrières" climat is located in the commune of Meursault, in the heart of the Côte de Beaune. The vines, averaging 35 years of age, thrive on marl and limestone soils typical of the appellation.
Winemaking and aging
Traditional vinification in oak barrels with full malolactic fermentation. Aging lasts 8 to 10 months in medium-toast French oak barrels, 50% of which are new and sourced from the Louis Latour cooperage, imparting complexity and balance to the wine.
Grape variety
This Premier Cru is made exclusively from Chardonnay, the emblematic grape of Burgundy’s great white wines, expressing here all the typicity of the Meursault terroir.
