The elegance and complexity of a great red wine from the Terrasses du Larzac
The estate
Since the early 2000s, Isabelle and Vincent Goumard have been at the helm of Mas Cal Demoura, an exceptional estate in Languedoc. Driven by their passion and expertise, they cultivate their vineyard with an artisanal approach and deep respect for the environment. Certified organic and biodynamic, the estate produces terroir-driven wines that brilliantly showcase the richness and uniqueness of this winegrowing region in the south of France.
The vineyard
Located in the commune of Jonquières, at the heart of the Terrasses du Larzac appellation, the vineyard is spread across limestone and clay-limestone soils. The vines benefit from a unique microclimate, where the Mediterranean warmth is tempered by cool winds descending from the Larzac plateau. This climatic duality ensures a long growing cycle, allowing the berries to reach optimal ripeness while preserving a lovely acidity. The estate is farmed according to biodynamic principles, allowing each plot to express its own identity.
