Serving and cellaring

This Roc d'Anglade 2025 can be enjoyed in its youth from 2026 to appreciate its vibrancy, but its fine structure also allows it to be cellared until around 2030.

A remarkably fresh rosé from the IGP Pays du Gard by Roc d'Anglade

The estate

Founded in 1999 by Rémy Pédréno, a former IT engineer, the Roc d'Anglade estate has become a true benchmark in the Languedoc. Located in the Gard, on the historic terroir of Langlade, the estate covers 10.5 hectares. Now run by Rémy and Martine Pédréno, the estate stands out for its artisanal approach and philosophy respectful of living ecosystems. The constant pursuit of freshness and elegance has become the hallmark of this vineyard, which produces wines renowned for their precision and their ability to express the full complexity of their terroir.

The vineyard

The vines used to produce this wine from the IGP Pays du Gard thrive on clay-siliceous soils resting on limestone marl. One of the key characteristics of this terroir lies in its predominantly north-facing exposure, which protects the vines from extreme heat and gives the grapes an atypical freshness for the region. Grown according to organic (certified since 2011) and biodynamic farming principles, the vineyard is home to vines averaging 25 to 30 years of age, trained in gobelet and cordon de Royat, with a planting density of around 4,000 vines per hectare.

Winemaking and aging

True to the estate’s philosophy of minimal intervention, winemaking favors indigenous yeasts and natural fermentations. For this Roc d'Anglade 2025, aging takes place over 6 months in stainless steel tanks on fine lees, a method chosen to preserve the brightness of the fruit and aromatic purity. The wine is not fined and undergoes very light filtration to ensure stability while respecting its identity.

Grape varieties

This rosé is a blend of 64% Grenache, 25% Mourvèdre, and 11% Syrah.
