The estate
Founded in 1986 by Michael G. Etzel and his brother-in-law, the renowned critic Robert Parker, The Beaux Frères Vineyard is a prestigious estate located in Oregon. Born from the transformation of a former pig farm, this winery has established itself as an essential reference for lovers of fine wines. The estate is now co-managed by its founder and the Artémis Domaines group, with Mike D. Etzel overseeing both general and technical operations. Embracing a minimalist approach to viticulture and a biodynamic philosophy, the estate crafts cuvées of remarkable finesse, authentically reflecting the unique character of its terroir.

The vineyard
Nestled in the heart of the Willamette Valley, this exceptional terroir lies on ancient marine sediments. These naturally poor soils benefit from efficient drainage while offering satisfactory water retention capacity. Planted in 1988, the vines benefit from a varied configuration, combining different slopes and row orientations, allowing a wide range of terroir expressions to emerge with each harvest.

Vinification and ageing
The making of this wine relies on a gentle approach that respects the grape. Fermentations are carried out with natural yeasts, supported by hand punch-downs and pump-overs for a delicate extraction. The wine is then aged in French oak barrels, refining its structure while preserving the liveliness of its fruity expression.
