Description
A Prosecco Rosé DOC from Veneto by Villa Sandi
The estate
Villa Sandi is a family-owned house in Veneto, based in Crocetta del Montello, in the province of Treviso. Its history dates back to Mario Polegato, grandfather of the current president, Giancarlo Moretti Polegato. Its headquarters is a Palladian villa. Owned by the Moretti Polegato family, the house is among the pioneers of Prosecco exports.
The vineyard
This Prosecco Rosé DOC comes from north-eastern Italy, in Veneto. Villa Sandi applies a precision viticulture approach across its vineyards and holds the Biodiversity Friend certification, which recognises practices that protect biodiversity.
Winemaking and ageing
Il Fresco Rosé Millesimato 2024 is produced using the Martinotti (Charmat) method, which is the method used for Prosecco Rosé DOC. The Pinot Noir is vinified as a red wine, then used in a limited proportion to give the cuvée its pink colour.
Grape varieties
Villa Sandi's Il Fresco Rosé Millesimato 2024 is made from a blend of Glera and Pinot Noir.
